The Lavender Araucana lay stunning strong shelled medium sized blue eggs with the colour running through the shell. As they mature they develop what appear to be a beard and ear muffs.

The Lavender Araucana originates from South America in the region of North Chile. Although classified as large fowl this breed is often smaller than some of its other large fowl relatives.
