The Chalk Hill Blue is an exciting new hybrid based on the Cream Legbar. Although the Legbar is a fairly good egg producer, its eggs are often small in the first year. By Crossing various pure breeds known for their large and prolific egg laying abilities and then putting them to a Cream Legbar cockerel, this resulting hybrid should lay approximately 240 large blue/green eggs a year.

This is a Maran based hybrid which will lay about 280 eggs in her first year. She lays a darker brown egg than the other hybrids so it will be easy to tell which eggs she has laid. She is just as friendly as the other hybrids and would make a great pet.

A beautiful blue/grey bird with distinct markings on the tips of her feathers. She is very friendly and will lay about 250 large eggs in her first year. She will grow a larger than the average hybrid so it is a good idea to check on the size of your run before purchasing.

The Sussex Star is a hybrid mix of a Light Sussex and Rhode Island Red. They are prolific layers of approximately 280 light brown eggs per year.

The Sussex Star is an extremely docile and friendly chicken and they are generally inquisitive birds which don’t mind been handled, which makes them a great choice of chicken for children. We only get small amounts of these birds each month.
